- Sept. 22 (Tuesday): New Member Orientation, SMC Electric, 6 p.m.
- Sept. 26 (Saturday), 9:00 - noon, Ozarks Counseling Center Landscaping. Volunteers will help with landscaping/fall clean-up needs. Please bring your gloves and garden tools and help spruce up the property. This will support the counseling center by maintaining the grounds of their historic downtown building. We are looking for 8 or more volunteers for this project. If you have a spouse or kids who are willing to help, bring them along too! - Multiple dates, 6:45-7:45 a.m., Good Dads Strong Schools. If you’re looking for a hands-on service project that is both recurring and performed before work, this is your perfect fit! Volunteers assist the administration of the Good Dads - Strong Schools Program at Watkins & Pittman Elementary schools. Please be mindful, by signing up, you will commit to a recurring hands-on service project. Follow the sign-up link below for more details about this program and the list of dates at each school. - Oct. 5 (Monday): Golf’toberfest
- Oct. 9 (Friday): Hands-on Service at the Springfield Dream Center, 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will help run the Springfield Dream Center’s community block party by assisting with event set-up, welcoming and directing families as they arrive, supervising and helping run kid-friendly activity stations, serving meals, assisting with crowd flow, and helping with general hospitality needs throughout the event. Volunteers may also help with tear-down and clean-up at the end of the night. Our club’s participation will have a meaningful impact by helping create a safe, welcoming, and memorable evening for local children and families. Helping build community connection by providing positive experiences for kids and ensuring families feel valued and supported in a fun, safe environment. Number of volunteers needed: 15 to 20. - Oct. 15 (Thursday): Springfield Rotaract Club's Double Dare fundraiser; 6:00; The Oasis Hotel & Convention Center. Think you’ve got what it takes to conquer trivia, tackle ridiculous challenges, and have a little friendly competition with your fellow Rotarians? Then we have a Double Dare for you! Doors open at 5:30 and the fun begins at 6:00. Inspired by the iconic American game show, Double Dare features three rounds of themed trivia, minute-to-win-it style games, and challenges that will have teams up and moving. Come prepared to laugh, compete, and possibly discover talents you didn’t know you had! Southeast Rotary Has Two Tables! We’re sponsoring TWO tables at this year’s event, and one table is already full! That means we have just 8 seats remaining, as of Sept. 15. A spouse or guest is welcome to join you, so grab a seat for yourself (and maybe your favorite teammate) before our remaining spots are gone. BONUS: The theme is the 2000s! Break out your favorite early-2000s fashion, channel your favorite pop culture icon, or simply come ready to relive the glory days of flip phones, boy bands, and questionable fashion choices. Dressing for the theme is encouraged, but definitely not required! Best of all, your participation helps support a great cause. - Nov. 4 (Wednesday): Fellowship event - Wine Wednesday, at Uncorked, a Sommelier Wine Bar, 1314 E. Battlefield Road, 5:30 - 8:00. We’ll explore some great wine regions along with some great small plate pairings. Dec. 10 (Thursday), Southeast Rotary Holiday Party, Sunshine Event Center, 6:00 - 9:00. Join us for some holiday food, fun and fellowship. We will have a musical guest, Riley Braker, along with a Photo Booth for your entertainment. Food will be catered by Scratch & Co, featuring made from scratch dishes for your enjoyment.
