- July 1 - 31 (all month): Springfield Southeast Rotary Club's Summer Blood Drive; Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, 220 W. Plainview Road, Springfield; donors could win one of four $50 gift cards; sign up at cbco.org; When you donate, simply let the donor center know you're giving as part of the Southeast Rotary Blood Drive so your donation is credited to our club. As a thank you for donating, you'll receive: A premium velour beach towel (while supplies last) and entry into the $10,000 Dream Vacation Giveaway, plus Southeast Rotary donors will be entered into a drawing for one of four $50 gift cards!
- July 21 (Tuesday): New Member Lunch, noon, Big Whiskey's, 1550 E. Battlefield Road; experienced members are welcome to join new members to learn about an aspect of club operations; this month's program is Club History with Dan Emrie and Rex Johnson
- July 28 (Tuesday): Hands-on Service at Ronald McDonald House, Mercy Hospital; Volunteers will prepare and serve a meal. Impact: We will support families with children receiving medical care. After long, and often stressful days at the hospital, a delicious, nourishing meal provides a much-needed moment of comfort and care for these families. Number of volunteers needed: 6. Time commitment: 2.5 hours. [Signups are closed as six volunteers have stepped up.]
- July 30 (Thursday), Fellowship event: Springfield Cardinals game, 7:05; it’s "Thirsty Thursday" and there are specials on your favorite alcoholic beverage. We have 20 seats in the Diamond Box behind home plate. Bring the family! Cost is only $15/person.

As Rotarians, we have a unique opportunity to serve our community while celebrating one of the most significant collaborative projects that our six Springfield Rotary clubs have ever undertaken: Birthplace Plaza. We need your help in two important ways. Help with the Route 66 Car Show-- The City of Springfield has given Rotary members first access to volunteer positions assisting with the Route 66 Car Show. Volunteer shifts are Friday, Aug. 7, 5:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Saturday, Aug. 8, 5:30 to 10:30 a.m. You may volunteer for one or both days. Feel free to invite your family and friends to enjoy the festival while you're volunteering. This will be one of the busiest and most exciting locations during the event, surrounded by entertainment, classic cars, live music, and thousands of festival attendees. This is our project. We should all be proud to help tell its story.
