- April 29 (Wednesday) - The annual All-City Rotary Clubs Meeting, 11:30 -1:00, White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine St. The featured speaker is Gov. Mike Kehoe. He will talk about his journey, the excitement of the Route 66 festivities and the impact on Missouri, and his experience as a Rotarian. This will take the place of our regular weekly meeting that week.
- April 30 (Thursday): NBC's "Today" broadcasts its third hour live from Route 66 Birthplace Plaza in Downtown Springfield. It is free to attend but you must register using this link.
- April 30 (Thursday): Route 66 Birthplace Plaza Dedication/Ribbon Cutting, 4:00, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue at St. Louis Street
- April 30, Route 66 Centennial Happy Hour, 4:30 - 6:30; Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Route 66 with fellow Rotarians from around the city! Following the ribbon cutting, we will have a happy hour at Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Cost is $10 per person and includes appetizers. More details will come!
